Then she does what anybody does, she plays the, “Give me a sign if you’re reading my mind” game. After a series of probable, coincidental events, she’s under the impression that Teiichi, is reading her mind. At first he confirms it, but he strays off the subject, then reassures her that she’s just imagining it. Anyways, Momoe tells Teiichi that there’s a poltergeist in the room. There’s never a badass horror protagonist is there? It’s always the soft-spoken, nice guys. It’s later revealed that her name is Okonogi Momoe, she’s under the “apprenticeship” of Niiya Teiichi. She takes down notes, but she’s continuously trolled by a “poltergeist”, she plays it off with common sense, assuming that her delusions are a result of fatigue. She has her trusty pen and notepad, along with a mug of what’s presumably coffee. Introduced to a character, she’s a detective of sorts. The song’s name is “CHOIR JAIL” by Konomi Suzuki. Although Silver Link does adapts shitty shows for the most part, they do very well on making average animation look above average. Anyhow, I did like the opening, the animation really did fit the show, and the emotions of the main heroine. I’m ridiculously easy to please when it comes to openings, the soundtrack on the other hand, that’s when I homogenize everything to being either shit or good. In the anime, Momoe read through Yuuko Kanoe and Teiichi Niiya's letters to each other, which shocked the couple who had forgotten that they wrote them in her notebook.Looks a lot like Another.In the anime series, Momoe is attributed to cats that she is often seen owning things with a cat motif, including her notebook and bento box.Momoe is a great fan of ghost stories and mysteries to the point that she usually pushes the club to get involved with them.Momoe's means "small" (小) ( o), "this, current, next, coming, last, past" (此) ( ko) and "tree, wood" (木) ( ki/ gi), which can be interpreted to mean "this small tree".The name Momoe might have many meanings due to being written in hiragana characters.Momoe is later appointed as the Third Newspaper Club's president, replacing the previous president Sasaha Sahara, who graduated at the end of the school year. With this observation, Teiichi decides to break this fantasy of hers and, using Yuuko's nature as a ghost, pretended to purify the spirit that is supposed to be tracking her down. Yuuko suggested to give her a handmade charm for the meantime (although it is merely a fake), and she suspected that Momoe ended up hypnotizing herself into believing the reality of the game. In fear of her own life, she asks help from the newly-formed club, and Teiichi reluctantly accepts her case as the club's first. She played Hidden Demon with the intent of breaking the chain created when players of the game were unable to end the game, but she finds herself unable to end the game due to losing an important object in the game. ![]() Momoe's first contact with the Paranormal Investigation Club is during her involvement in a secret game called Hidden Demon, which would later be discovered as one of the Seven Wonders of Seikyou Academy. She respects Niiya not only because he is brave but he is also nice. Momoe has the habit of speaking rather politely even to people she should be more informal to (such as people in her same grade), in some cases she even addresses underclassmen in such respectful tone.
